Well it finnaly happened, I cant find a WiFi network so I had to use the modem, only problem is the pctel driver patch gives me a few options for which device I have. I need to know what one to select.
Well the modem driver gave me a error message saying it cant complie the driver (perhaps it is because I already installed the worng one). Also when I tried to install the Nivida driver it said it could not excute the binary program (or something to that effect). Any ideas on the exact driver I should get or how I can get the modem driver to work.
I didn't bother with the modem... I have a cheap viking 56k pcmcia modem that I use when I need dial-up which is rare... you have to be root to run th nvidia installer...
I have a SMC EliteConnect 200mw card using the Prism 2 or 2.5 chip. I can go online with it but when I fire up Airsnort it says "can not set monitor mode". WHY IS IT DOING THIS AND HOW CAN I FIX IT???????????
