Post Memory map has hole on Sony Vaio while installing Suse v11

I am trying to install Suse v11 on an older Sony Vaio notebook(PCG-6G4L). This is a dual boot with XP, which is running fine.

Suse just won't run although it appeared to install OK with kde 3.5 for the desktop. It almost acts as if it is freezing but then comes out of it and the mouse pointer will move. Acting in slowmo.

Running the firmware test shows "memory map has a hole 15mb to 16 mb". Memorytest86 gives a pass.

Can this be repaired? If so what do I need to do? And please in simple terms!!!!!!

Thanks Sandie
