Mandriva 2007.1 on Everex

AAARRGGG!!!! I'm trying to install Mandriva on this Everex Laptop. I discovered that I don't have an IDE driver for its Hard Drive. The drive is WD800BEVS which is a Western Digital 80 gig SATA. Any ideas???
I mean the bus drivers, I was tired!

OK, does anyone know which Linux Distro would have the most up to date drivers?
