LinuxMint or Xenialpuppy and Fujitsu P1610 Touchscreen didn't work

Hello, everyone,

I signed up here in the hope of finally finding someone who can help me.

I have an old convertible, the Fujitsu Lifebook P1610.
I want to integrate this into my Sim-Cockpit as a tablet replacement.
As a second display or input device.

Since the Windows 7 running so far became slower and slower, something new has to be done.
I have considered the following distributions so far: Xubunt, LinuxMint and Xenialpuppy.
All three are based on Ubuntu, whereby Linux Mint has a nicer surface and Xenialpuppy was the fastest in the test.

But I didn't get the touchscreen to work with both with the help of the driver on Github.
I followed the ReadMe (even installed Vim) but on reboot, Linux just doesn't start anymore.

Since I am a total beginner, concerning Linux, I hope for you...

Greetings
NemWar

Hallo Zusammen,

Input-Device.

Da das bisher laufende Windows 7 immer langsamer wurde, muss was neues her.

NemWar

I've only had a couple of touchscreen laptops. On both occasions, I believe that the Wacom drivers worked for the screen. You may also want to install xrandr so that you can do screen rotation.

Having a Dell XT2 touchscreen. Uses a Wacom pen inserted in case even.

I left Puppy a while ago. But I still know how to search for Puppy problem solutions.

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=295651

Since you said Puppy ran the fastest.
Shotgun link for Puppy solutions. Just change the search term " touchscreen "in the beginning of search bar box on page.

Edit: Even on my Dell Touchscreen. It takes more than out of the box support to enable usage. It takes a bit of tweaking.
