I, Newbie, sorry if I violate protocol (please let me know, btw).
Searched various locations and found no direct references/solutions.
I have Toshiba Satellite 2210XCDS (Celeron500, 192MB, 6GB Hdd).
Has 13"DSTN display with Trident Cyber 9525 Video (2.5M Memory).
Tried DamnSmall, Puppy, Precise Retro, Lubuntu, Android, Slitaz, Vector.
No joy, results from lockup to (best)640x480 w/loss of 1" horiz band.
Am I barking up wrong tree and just forget linux on this laptop?
It would seem that since so many distros have issues that it may be inherent to that device model, etc.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts, this is NOT critical..
Try AntiX instead. Use the video I provide now for learning boot cheat codes and how to manage the F
keys at the grub screen. If it don't work. Join the AntiX forum as some members there run some exotic old gear and have pointers I do not know about.

First time replyer excuse mistakes.
Thanks, Rok, for pointers. I downloaded latest AntiX, three installs (default, vesa, safe)all had video problems, severe to the point cannot complete install. Will watch video and join AntiX forum. Thanks for your timely reply. I am amazed at the support available for us. WHOA, I think I just joined some group...
Thanks for pointers! I had read the first previously, the second was pretty good (tho old). Amazing what support is there once you start digging (and reading, as I often find questions posted that could be resolved if someone pursued what is already out there). Anyway, thanks again. You folks rock... (wait, did I just date myself?)
