I also have an hp zv6130us, running Mepis 3.4.3 rc2, everything works fine, except for the wireless card, it doesnt detect the card. I found a tutorial to install Gentoo on a hp zv6000 (and i asume it has the same card as the 6130us), that says that the wireless connection works, but ive failed to instal Gentoo (its still too much for me), ill post the link, just in case any of you want to give it a try...

Graphic card drivers

Hi,
I've a hp pavillion zv6130us & i've installed fedora core 6 .the problem is when I log into linux once & then reboot the system & try to log into linux again the screen display is gone at the login screen and I can't see anything. Its fine till the normal booting part but goes off exactly at the login screen. I think its a problem with the graphic card drivers .My graphic card is ati mobility radeon 200 series.Any suggestions on how can I avoid this problem.

The DVD boots to the first screen (press <Enter> to install or upgrade) then goes splat claiming it cannot find a CD-ROM drive. This machine has a dual DVD+-R/RW and CD-RW combo drive.

Any suggestions?
I'm not sure about Mandrake, but Slackware setup gives the option to specify the location of the source disk. yuo should be able to press <alt> + <f5> to get another terminal and then type in "dmesg | tail" to see the last messages passed out by the install process. Typing "dmesg | more" gives a 1 page at a time out put of the whole process. scan through this output to makesure it is using /dev/hda for the cdrom device. For my slamd64 install on a dv6000 I had to pass "sata.s root=/dev/sda4" at boot time and then specify "/dev/hda" durring setup as the source.

My problem is that once the disk spins down, it never spins back up.......
