Knopix-STD and Dell Latitude D600

I currently am using a Dell Latitude D600 and Knoppix-STD. How do I get my Broadcom NIC to register? I know that the tg3 module works for this NIC, but how do I get my NIC working on my laptop with Knoppix-STD? I am booting from CD Rom of course.

what you could do is in the terminal or command line type: modprobe tg3
that should insert the module and your card should be working after that. but it is kindof surprising that knoppix doesnt automatically detect your nic
