is there a way to change the resolution of open office impress slide shows

I am using open office 2.4 on a fedora 8 based laptop.
The laptop has a screen resolution of 1280x800 and the external VPS has the
proj of 1024x768. I have used xrandr as under to set things up.
xrandr --output VGA --mode 1024x768 --rate 60
it works fine but only the part of my laptop LCD that corresponds to the 1024x768 size is
visible on the VPS. That is alright
However, when I start a slideshow in impress, it spills over to the entire laptop
screen and consequently a part of my slides ( that crosses the 1024x768 ) boundary, is not
seen on the VPS. That is not acceptable for slideshows.
So I wish to know how to fix this ?
is there a way to tell impress to output the slide show in lower resolution i.e 1024x768 on
my laptop?
thanks in advance
nishith
