Question Installing Linux


Installing Linux on a laptop that is running XP alrady...What is the best way?

Get a distribution like Suse or Mandriva that can shrink your Windows partition to make space for Linux and they auto configure the bootloader so that you can choose between Windows and Linux when you boot your system.

and if you're afraid installing the linux bootloader miht mess up your windows (which it shouldn't) ther's also a way of using the xp bootloader to start linux (or rather redirect to the linux bootloader which is not installed to the mbr)
