Inspiron 8200 Mobility 9000 Dual Head Fedora Core 1

I have an inspiron 8200 with the mobility 9000. It has the ultra sharp 1600X1200 display. I have installed fedora core 1. Everything worked out of the box with the exception of dual head. I can turn it on but it doesn't do anything. If i change the resoltuion of the other monitor it just changes the resolution of my lcd on the laptop. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
