HP N3210 and Mandrake linux- Anyone using it?

I have been using Mandrake 9.1 on my desktop pc with great success, a few minor glitches and of course there was a learning curve, but essentially I am 95% on Linux, use Windows rarely. So...I have an HP n3210 laptop(about 3 years old) and my next project is to install Mandrake on it. I will use another hard drive and keep my orignal drive with windows in its original state, so I will be doing a fresh install. Before I do this project my question is has anyone here installed linux on this model laptop, and if so were there any problems? I am especially wondering about modem issues. I have done a lot of searching and as yet haven't found anyone who has reported their success(or lack of) with this particular model. Any info will be appreciated.
