How to make LiteOn Ez-Dub DVD burner work with Eee 900?

I have an Asus Eee 900 and a LiteOn external drive (DX-20A4PU). The drive works fine when reading, but I can't find a way to write/burn. Only drivers for Windoze seem to exist.
I'm a novice to Linux.

Greetings
JOP

You don't need "drivers" with linux. Many devices are supported "out of the box".

The eee series of computers run a version of linux called "xandros", which may not have CD burning software installed by default (because they are supplied with without a CD drive).
This extra software is easy to install once you know how:

Thank you. I'll go have a look.

JOP

I just spent some hours exploring your links. Result: K3B installed and running (burned a couple of test CDs). And as an added bonus I've progressed to a higher level of Linux consciousness. Next task is to find out how to run K3B in Easy mode.

Thanks a lot
