How to install Linux (redhat based) on Vaio VGN-FZ18M?
hi all,
I have a Vaio VGN-FZ18M laptop.
I can not install any linux(I checked Rdhat and Fedora distrodutions) on it.
after booting and loading kernel, when the loader of Anaconda wants to load, the system hang.
I gess it is due tto not to dignose its new Sata Hard. but I dont know what I should do.

So you can't install RedHat linux, not "any linux"? You could try running the installer, and doing a NOPROBE or ACPI=OFF, and see if that works, or you could also try a different distribution, such as Ubuntu, Debian, or OpenSuSE.
