When i shutdown it tells me something about the mixer and then some other lines underneath and it failed i was wondering were to go or what to do to get Linux to find it or fix it. o yeah its on Virtual PC and the sound card is 'Intel 82801DB/DBM/DA AC '97 Audio Controller'...Don't know if you need all that sorry if you don't...thanx in advance.
Hrm, an AC-97 card. Do you have acpi enabled in your linux kernel?
If its redhat, you dont. If its suse or mandrake.. acpi=on in the startup should fix it up for you.
Redhat needs its kernel recompiled for acpi to work
