good ultra portable for ubuntu?

hey all,
i would like to get a ultaportable (12inch or so) that would handle ubuntu. some of the pretty eye candy would be nice to have, but i realize that you need a pretty decent graphics card for it. does anyone have any suggestions for a nice, fairly cheap, ultraportable?

i really like the asus eee but i worry that it doesnt have very much power and i really need to have office 2003 which i have been able to easily setup in ubuntu.

14.1" is the ideal portable size .... smaller than that hurts the eyes and comes with smaller keyboard which is hard to use

i just bought my first laptop ever ... it is an IBM thinkpad T42 ... 1.7Ghz centrino, 1Gb Ram, 40 gb hard disk, 32mb graphics ... it is a used laptop but in great condition

i bought it because of the high quality and durability of thinkpads ... performance is ok for my intended use for office productivity (mainly internet and reports)
