Flicker free notebook screens for 2015

Hey,
Ive read a very interesting thread here about flicker free screens. but the notebooks recommendet are no longer available.

So im looking for either high frequency PWM or DC current controled backlights. Prefer the latter. Or any other technology that would let me dim the display without flickering.

Other specs: 8-16GB Ram, 256GB SSD, 2,2GHZ dual core or something like that. Doesnt matter too much if 14"- or 15"+ screen.

Anyone, anything?
I get reccomendations for Apple Products but would rather not go this route.
