Question Fedora Core 2 and Winbook J4

I have a Winbook J4 and I have been using it with Redhat 7.3-9.0. It worked great with those distros other than the fact that ACPI wasn't available. Then I went from 9.0 to FC2. That was a mistake. I tried to upgrade and it wouldn't boot with a mouse or keyboard. Then, I even did a fresh install and the same thing happened. After the fresh install I did notice the mouse worked while booting until USB was initialized. I'm not positive its a USB problem though. I did notice that some people had similiar problems with it trying to init a USB mouse or keyboard even though my laptop uses PS2. Legacy USB support is DISABLED in the BIOS in case you're wondering. Also, after I tried to do a hard reboot the BIOS is left in an unhealthy state. The only way to get the computer to boot at all is to remove the battery and unplug. Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed in this release. It feels like those RH 5.0 days again!

Any ideas appreciated,
Stephen

ACPI trouble

Well, it turns out that ACPI just doesn't work at all. When I turned it off in the boot params I was able to get fedora working. ACPI was the reason for me upgrading in the first place ;-( I'm using a Phoenix bios and am wondering if there are acpi incompatibilities I should know about.
