I opened the file
40_custom (maybe another name in a newer version of Fedora):

gksudo gedit /etc/grub.d/40_custom
completing after "...line above.":

}

where X and Y have to be replaced with the user's dates, e.g.
sda3 if Fedora is installed on partiion 3 of the first hd and (hd0,2).
Save as
06_fedora in
/etc/grub.d/
Make executable:

sudo chmod +x /etc/grub.d/06_fedora
Write a new grub.cfg:
Reboot -> Grub menu contains
"start GRUB in sdaY" (Fedora)
