debian on dell inspiron 1300, can't install wireless

i had previously ran mandrake and used the ndiswrapper to get my broadcom wireless working, but the debian package seems to be a bit more difficult.

has anyone used fwcutter successfully? and where do i get the correct .fw files?

I would blacklist the bcm43xx and use ndiswrapper;
http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/?go=devices
here at number 59
