Unhappy Compaq Lid Button Problem...

I've got a Compaq Presario 2820EA and I have a little problem with the Lid Button...

The problem is, when I press the Lib button, the monitor goes off, but when I release it, it remains black...

I don't have nothing on my /etc/acpi for that button, just for the power button... So, it should do nothing... (I supose...)

If anyone could help, it would be pretty nice!

Thanks

The Power Button

In Windows, the power button on the laptop initiates a clean shutdown and then turns the laptop's power off. To accomplish the same effect in Linux, install the acpid and copy the file below to /etc/acpi/events/power.conf. Then reboot, or restart acpid (service acpid restart), and the power button should launch the shutdown procedure when pressed.

File:

event=button.*power.*
action=/sbin/shutdown -h now

Now when you press the power button it will clean shutdown. I hope this is what you are refering too, not sure?
