Can I install RedHat 7.1 on....?

I have an old IBM Thinkpad
It has 32 MB of RAM

Linux says I need 64 MB of RAM, but I would bet there is a way to install it anyways. It ran Win98 without a problem, so perhaps you guys could give me some suggestions.

I do want X to work also, so what should I do, just make the swap partition like 128 or so??

Give me ideas on how to get it to work for me...

Thanks!

From http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/ibm.html/ I see that RedHat 7.1 is supported on the ThinkPad 57, 600, 600E, 765L, 770, A22p, X20, 240, 240X... The install and config are given for each of them.. Hope this helps

It will work with 32Mb RAM, just don't expect an eye-candy desktop such as KDE or Gnome to be too quick. That said, the older versions included with RH 7.1 might not be too bad. A swap partition between 64Mb-128Mb should be fine, the old rule of thumb is twice your RAM. Enjoy!
