Question Bodhi - Keyboard and Touchpad Issues

Hi.

So I recently installed Bodhi 5.0 on my Lenovo S20-30 Netbook.

Since then I have been trying to figure out how to fully make use of my touchpad, which is working halfway, since I can drag my mouse pointer along just fine. Trouble is, I can neither tap-to-click nor scroll and don't understand why. Synaptics is installed, but I don't quite get which packages are the missing ones?
[Don't know if it's related, but: keyboard detection didn't work either. Some keys just don't work, i.e. volume controls]

I know this problem has been discussed before, but not one of the solutions was the one for me. Or maybe I am doing something wrong.
Can anybody help?

please enter this command, and show us the complete ouput, incl. the command itself:
Code:
synclient
install it if necessary.

synclient gives me this output:
Quote:
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?
When I try to install via apt-get, it says:
Quote:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package synclient
I also played around with my key bindings - once I erase them all, touchpad works at about the speed of an elderly turtoise...

this most likely means that you do not have a synaptic compatible touchpad.

let's start troubleshooting by looking at
Code:
xinput --list
