dose this happen with the current Firefox 19.0
FF15 is 4 versions behind and dose not have the ff19 security and bug fixes

what version of java is installed , and is the java web plugin installed ?
if the old java1.6 or the old UNPATCHED oracle java 1.7
there might be problems
if the UNPATCHED oracle java 1.7 install the patched and updated version ASAP

No, I think this is related to something else ... look at the traceback. It's in the "ext4" filesystem drivers.

My initial guess is that the hard disk drive might be failing, or that there might be corruption in the file system.

I think that it does not have anything, per se, to do with "firefox."
