Thumbs up Redirecting log messages to other file

Hi,

I have added printk's in ext3's code,
I want to redirect , printk's writtern by
me to some other file than /var/log/messages

I read about klogd's
-f "file name" option which reads /proc/kmsg and writes to file name
-c which prints messages of certain priorities

If I use these options the file will have all the kernel messages of that
priority including mine.

I want my printks only in that file, Thank you

Regards,
Devendra Kulkarni

Yup, the kernel logger uses a single facility "KERN".
