Rebooting Linux Kernel on 'move device tree mapping out of linear region' commit

Hi,

I have an issue with a custom Kernel for ARMv7, where the machine reboots randomly with seemingly no explanation. There is no information printed about what has happened or why it is rebooting.

I have narrowed down the problem to a single git commit: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/co...ace427fe68057f

I am using a fork of this repository, but building from before this commit doesn't reboot, but including it and any commits after causes a reboot of the machine.

I had thought it might have something to do with my now 512KB less space in the fixmap region, but I am unsure. Could there be a mismatch between what is defined in my DTB file, and the now changed virtual memory layout?

I am relatively new to working on the Linux Kernel, and would really appreciate any help on how I might go about debugging this issue.

Thank you.
