No GLX acceleration with kernel 2.6.26

Hi all,

I compiled the latest version of the Kernel, and i found that now the default radeon module no longer supports direct acceleration for my Mobility Radeon 9200 and thus the desktop effects such as translucency and others no longer work. And it had been working fine with the 2.6.25.X series.

Here are my loaded modules:

Is there any additional module(s) i should compile/insert into the running kernel to make this work?

Doubt it. I've not heard of any changes in that department that require additional modules. However, 2.6.26 broke so much stuff (wifi card driver, modem driver, entire tty_driver struct re-worked ) for me I ran back to 2.6.25.11. Drm was one of the things that didn't give me trouble (82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]), ironically. It will be interesting to see what the major distros do once this kernel starts getting picked up.

Likely you've discovered the joy of owning your very own 2.6.26.x.
