NFS , Loading module


Dear All,

I 'm trying to insert the module in nfs mounted system,but it gives message like below and the embedded system hangs.

uclibc[/]# mount -o nolock 192.168.0.148:/opt/silverjapan /mnt

uclibc[/]# cd /mnt/

uclibc[mnt]# ls
mrua_SMP8634_2.8.5.0_GCC4_dev.mips
uclibc[mnt]# cd mrua_SMP8634_2.8.5.0_GCC4_dev.mips

uclibc[mrua_SMP8634_2.8.5.0_GCC4_dev.mips]# mknod /dev/em8xxx0 c 127 0
uclibc[mrua_SMP8634_2.8.5.0_GCC4_dev.mips]# insmod modules/2.6.15/em8xxx.ko
nfs: server 192.168.0.148 not responding, still trying
nfs: server 192.168.0.148 not responding, still trying
nfs: server 192.168.0.148 not responding, still trying

Please give me the suggestions to fix this issue.

I dare say that the NFS server is squashing root access, so you may not be able to do what you are trying? What is your aim anyway?
