Kernel boot using NFS root problem

When I use NFS server to boot debian linux(nfsroot), I encountered such problem:

..............................
Loading, please wait...
Begin: Loading essential drivers ... done.
Begin: Running /scripts/init-premount ... done.
Begin: Mounting root file system ... Begin: Running /scripts/local-top ... done.
Begin: Running /scripts/local-premount ... done.
mount: cannot read /etc/fstab: No such file or directory
Begin: Running /scripts/local-bottom ... done.
done.
Begin: Running /scripts/init-bottom ... mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed: No such file or directory
done.
mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such file or directory
mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such file or directory
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init.
No init found. Try passing init= bootarg.

BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 1:1.10.2-2) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(initramfs)

I don't know what the problem is. Anybody help?

Thanks

Shawn

The nfs location which is mounted must have a complete functional root file system

Thank you, bhaslinux.

I figured out the real problem is:
When I make initrd with debian update-initramfs, the config file for it in /etc should be changed from local to nfs.

Shawn
