Getting File Descriptor for a USB device to pass to ioctl command

Hi All,

Please help me in creating a file descriptor of a USB device to pass to the ioctl() commands that require the file handle of the device to be its first parameter and then the actual command as its second parameter and so on.

A sample ioctl command looks like:
ret_val = ioctl(file_desc, IOCTL_SET_MSG, message);

I don't know what to pass to the open method to obtain the file descriptor of the device:
fd = open("?????", O_RDWR)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance...
