FC Tapes unavailable in kernels >= 4.15.0-74

Hi,

since Kernel Version 74 the fibre channel tape drives (Library) are unavailable and we found nothing else that helped than switching back to Version 72.

Is there anything I can do besides booting the "old" 72 Kernel?

And yes, it's one of the two installed QLogic 2722 Cards and a FC-Switch to the drives...

No code has been removed from the kernel. It is more likely that the distro you are using has changed the config to not build the tape drivers. Check the config

Code:
grep CHR_DEV_ST /boot/config-`uname -r`
If it is built as a module, what shows in the logs when you modprobe st and rescan the fibre channel bus?

I'm inclined to simply diff the .configs.
