What's the average salary of a Linux kernel developer?
How much does a subsystem maintainer earn? At least 100k/year?
How much RedHat and Suse pay their seniors developers?
It's just to have an idea of the reward after all the effort and time the top maintainers spent to get there.

If you want to know how much Red Hat and SuSE pay their developers, then ask Red Hat or SuSE's human resources departments.
As far as how much others get paid, there is NO WAY for anyone to know...this will vary widely, depending on experience, how they negotiated things, their specialties, etc. Developers can get paid anything from $30k/year to $300k/year, depending on the company and many other factors.
Hi TB0one,
I don't think they would answer me. I asked because someone that works/worked there could share the info.
And you can be SURE they'll never answer you, by never ASKING them. They have entire HR departments that do absolutely NOTHING but answer these kinds of questions for potential employees. Why do you think they'll somehow not answer you?

$300k/year!!! wow. They must be pretty damn good!!! >$100k is already a lot of money (at least for me xD)
And again, this is an ESTIMATE. You are asking a question that has no answer...like asking "how high is up?" Some highly specialized software engineers can take home lots more than that. Some take home far less, for the EXACT same job.
...and these matter to you, how, why??? Again, these are estimates and salaries that are put on a website. Do you think a junior person who is barely qualified for the $155k job is going to GET the 155? Or will they get less, depending on experience??
