Hello,
I have been fidgeting with the configuration of the Linux Kernel source (version 2.6.20.1) in the attempts to generate a smaller footprint.
I have now lost keyboard support.
I have the following Kernel "Input Device Driver" options set as follows:
PHP Code:
#
# Input Device Drivers
#
CONFIG_INPUT_KEYBOARD=y
CONFIG_KEYBOARD_ATKBD=y
# CONFIG_KEYBOARD_SUNKBD is not set
# CONFIG_KEYBOARD_LKKBD is not set
# CONFIG_KEYBOARD_XTKBD is not set
# CONFIG_KEYBOARD_NEWTON is not set
# CONFIG_KEYBOARD_STOWAWAY is not set
CONFIG_INPUT_MOUSE=y
CONFIG_MOUSE_PS2=y
# CONFIG_MOUSE_SERIAL is not set
# CONFIG_MOUSE_INPORT is not set
# CONFIG_MOUSE_LOGIBM is not set
# CONFIG_MOUSE_PC110PAD is not set
# CONFIG_MOUSE_VSXXXAA is not set
# CONFIG_INPUT_JOYSTICK is not set
# CONFIG_INPUT_TOUCHSCREEN is not set
CONFIG_INPUT_MISC=y
# CONFIG_INPUT_PCSPKR is not set
# CONFIG_INPUT_WISTRON_BTNS is not set
# CONFIG_INPUT_UINPUT is not set
I am using a US PS2-style keyboard. I obviously haven't configured everything correct with respect to the Keyboard. Is there another section within the Kernel configuration I should enable (or define to be built as a module) to get my keyboard working again?
BTW, this is not an X11 thing. The problem occurs when I boot directly into a busybox ash shell after startup. The keyboard works fine during the Grub stage.
Here's the only kernel message I have been able to collect:
