good evening ,
I compiled the kernel 2.6 when complete all the steps of compilation its doesn't gives the log in prompt & the whole screen is blacked out .
when i try it in to resolve it by going into the recovery mode it says No_semaphore 0X------ (---- means some physical address)

what should i do to get it .??

1- what steps are you doing on the compilation?
2- what kernel configuration are you using? defconfig?
3- What architecture you are compiling are you cross compiling it?
4- what distribution you have? are you using initrd? or you are compiling all the drivers that you need statically on the kernel?
