A question about option driver/sysfs/udev

Hi,

I have the following:

Linux 2.6.35
Huawei USB modem (E303)
udev 164
usb_modeswitch

I insmod usbserial.ko, usb_wwan.ko and option.ko. I insert the modem into the USB port. I run usb_modeswitch. I get /dev/ttyUSB0,1,2 created.

I do the following:

udevadm info -a -n /dev/ttyUSB0,1,2

I get

calling: info
device 0x434070 has devpath '/class/tty/ttyUSB0'

Udevadm info starts with the device specified by the devpath and then
walks up the chain of parent devices. It prints for every device
found, all possible attributes in the udev rules key format.
A rule to match, can be composed by the attributes of the device
and the attributes from one single parent device.

looking at device '/class/tty/ttyUSB0':
KERNEL=="ttyUSB0"
SUBSYSTEM=="tty"
DRIVER==""

device 0x434268 has devpath '/class/tty'
looking at parent device '/class/tty':
KERNELS=="tty"
SUBSYSTEMS=="subsystem"
DRIVERS==""

Question is what has happened to all the attributes. This is causing me a problem since I can not get applications that depend on udev such as ofono to initialise properly.

Thanks

Homam
