Wireless USB adapter for Linux?

Is there a wireless USB adapter for Linux that will work out of the box? I want to avoid ndiswrapper and a lengthy set of command line instructions. I am planning to use the adapter with Kubuntu 7.04 or7.10, but would change to another distribution if necessary to get a smooth installation and wireless Internet connection.

Thank you!

I don't know about 'out of the box' thing, but apparently Edimax with Ralink chipsets is quite linux friendly

I haven't tried them though. I am thinking of buying one as well.

Search the site here for ralink usb and see if someone listed the brand, model, and revision of the USB nic. The Network Inteface Cards change daily it seems like. One day they have this chipset the next day next revision they use a different one. if you find one that works post info about and where you got it.

I've used them and they work out of the box in many distros I've tried. The drivers can also be downloaded from Serialmonkey. Dabs.com also sells Edimax ralink based cards and they are a bit cheaper than Linux Emporium.
