Wireless Networking Problems

Hi,

I have a belkin 801.11b (11Mbs) PCI wireless network card in my computer - linking to a router (and a broadband connection).

Can anyone give me any help on setting up linux so that it can access my broadband connection through this card (and subsequently the router)?

I need advice and drivers and step-by-step configuration advice - I'm running red hat linux 9 - in a workstation configuration....

Much Appreciated...

This card uses either the ADMtek chip set (version 2) or the Intersil/Harris Prism chip set (version 1). As root, do an

lspci

and see which it is. If it is ADMtek, then you will have to go to their site and download the driver. If it is the Prism then you can use the wlan-ng driver set. But we need to know which version of the card you have: version 2 or version 1.

Cheers--

As root do

lspci

and post the output.

You can also try reading the box, or any literature that came with the card.
