Why am I having problems seeing my USB Drive?

Hi,

I am running Ubuntu Linux using Fluxbox as a windowmanager. I have a USB drive that I am trying to use but for some reason I cannot see the drive, either in Rox or in the Konsole. I used the mount command to determine if it is mounted. It is indeed mounted; I just cannot see it elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

-John S.

P.S. On an unrelated note, I am thinking of switching to Slackware. Any thoughts?

It would be helpful if you connected the usb drive and then posted the outputs from:

# fdisk -l
# mount

Your comments are somewhat contradictory, but the outputs from mount and fdisk should clarify your situation.
