Was in pcmech.com recommended asus so i went ahead and ordered it. I was kind of anxious to get the ball rolling. Don't like to use my cdrw to install software. thanks trickykid. Do you know if installing an EIDE hard drive as a second hdd with an ata66 hdd wld slow down the faster one? Exploring using my an old spare to load slackware onto its own hdd instead of messing around with dual booting???

As far as I know it shouldn't slow it down or it shouldn't at least. Yeah I am the same way, I never use my cdrw for anything but burning cd's.
