Wacom tablets

I'm thinking about getting an A4 tablet and just wondered what peoples experiences are, which make/model works best, and make/model to avoid etc.

Thinking about pro photo editing in Gimp.

Wacom has a pretty decent support under Linux and it's constantly getting better. I suggest going to http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/ and checking more info out from there. You might also want to subscribe to the mailing list.

I myself bought a Wacom Volito 2 recently, but I haven't got time yet to make it work on Linux. As to what I've seen, it should work.
