Unhappy virgin moble usb wireless on ubuntu ? will it work

Hello Everyone
ihave a dual boot dell 600m / xp-pro & ubuntu 9.04
i am useing a virgin moble mc760 usb wireless internet
it doesn`t work on 9.04 but some body told me 10.04
was compatable, anybody know ?

hate useing xp on internet

You could try booting from a 10.04 "live CD", and then just trying it.
Boot with the USB device already plugged in.

If it works, then maybe it is time for an upgrade.

Without much more information (Eg what is the device shown as with lsusb ?), it is difficult to help you further.
