Via kt133 and 2.4.19 problem

Hy!
I have a ABIT kt7a motherboard and would like to use the UDMA mode for my drives.
On First IDE I have a ibmdtl307030 which works on udma100 and i am 100% satisfied.
Problem is the second IDE where i have connected a Pioneer 117 which should work at DMA33.
The Cable is an 80Prot on so that could not be the mistake.
Everytime i trie to hdparm -d 1 /dev/hda it takes the option but when i mount the drive it falles back to PIO!
Anyone any idea?
