Vcom mouse + slackware and latest kernel

Hello. I've got Slackware installed and I just bought a new mouse. It's a vcom optical ps/2 mouse. However, when the module is loaded, the lights are turned off and it won't move at all but to the right corner. The mouse protocol is eximps/2 and it is assumed to work under kernel 2.6, according to the compatibility list. And according to some google researches, it DOES work under kernel 2.4.x. Does anybody have any suggestions? I really don't want to downgrade to kernel 2.4, since usb support under 2.6 is way better or stick to using Windows XP permanently. Thanks in advance,

Mythrill.
