Installed Fedora Core 6. Would like to use the USB Network Adapter. Don't know didley about Linux. Someone will have to either hold my hand or get out the BIG CRAYONS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt it matters too much, but FWIW, Fedora's latest release is 7. Anyway, for us to be able to help you, we need to know what kind of chipset your wireless adapter has. Open a terminal (look for "Konsole", "Terminal" or perhaps "xterm" in the menus of whatever desktop environment you're using) and run "/sbin/lsusb" (without quotes) and post the output here.

I have FC7 and the same Wireless internet card so I ran /sbin/lsusb in the terminal and here is what I got:

I'm helping because I too need help setting this up with my Fedora Core 7.

I set mine up about 6 months ago in FC6 using this guide:

Code:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Device/Belkin_F5D7050_ver_3000_%28Ralink_rt73_driver%29?highlight=%28WifiDocs%2FDevice%29
IIRC, because it's an ubuntu how-to, there were a couple of differences as far as where the files were supposed to be, but I got it figured out, and it's been working ever since - though I don't upgrade the kernel anymore, etc.

cheers,
