USB jump drive and SUSE 9.0

Hi, guys,

I have a USB lexar Jump drive and I can't fig out how to make this thing works on Suse 9.0:

-If I plug in the jump drive in the boot, Linux Freezes.
-After the login, if I plug in the device, I heard i beep after a few seconds. Then if I try to mount
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbdrive

the Konsole freezes. The same with
fdisk /dev/sda

Someone could help me?

Additional information:

-output of

#dmesg

hub.c: new USB device 00:10.4-6, assigned address 4
