USB drive mounting glitchy

I have a 64 meg PNY Attache USB flash drive. I am mounting it under Mandrake Linux 8.1. When I first set it up using the instructions provided here
it mounted perfectly. Then I rebooted. Whenever I try to mount it via the shell using mount /dev/sda1, it comes back with mount: special device /dev/sda1 does not exist.
