USB 3G Modem

Hi People I have just installed Debian 4.0 etch and it's nice I live in a remote place and don't have brodband. What I do have is a vodafone 3g usb modem it's a Huawei e220.
Questions
How do I get it to work with Debian then I can dump ms

Not a Debian user so bare with me. When you plug in the modem wait 10 secs and then run the command dmesg and post what it shows.

Did some googling and seen few hits some I can read others in other langauges. Might check this link for a start.

Hi thanks for the reply dmesg says it's a usb mass storage device??? and the link for ubuntu was no help I don't seem to have the same file layout.

I blogged on my experience with ubuntu here. Haven't tried it with debian, but I hope you can try it out, and share the result
