Question USB 3.0 actual file transfer speed

Hi all,

according to wikipedia USB 3.0 standard claims a theoretical "maximum" transmission speed of up to 5 Gbit/s (625 MB/s). my colleagues are saying that when they transfer files to a flash drive connected to a USB 3.0 drive they are getting only a transfer speed of 60 MB/s, why is this so ?

what are the factors that limit the transfer speed of files through an USB 3.0 interface ??

The speed may be limited by the read speed of your hard drive. I know the maximum I've seen copying a file to a USB 3.0 hard drive is about 110MB/s.
Wikipedia gives about 1030MB/s as a typical hard drive read speed, which is about 128MB/s.
