Unable to get Texas Instruments xx21 card reader to work.

Hello everyone.
I run Ubuntu 14.10 on quite an old laptop and my card reader, model Texas Instruments xx21, does not seem to work. I've done some research and it appears that there are download links to tifm driver, but all of those are unavailable and appear to only work for older kernel versions.
Am I doomed, or there is a way to make it work?

Try using ndiswrapper-gtk (it should be in Ubuntus package manager=Synaptic)
and then use the Windows driver=.exe

You will have to research how to do this on your own since you own the gear. Here is a search engine for you.

Good luck with it.

At one time ndiswrapper was meant to be a way for any windows driver to work in linux. The original authors never finished work on that.

What I think is you are talking about a flash media slot controller.

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Tifm shows info is old.

Use this as search for more ideas.

"Texas Instruments xx21 linux" Or "tifm linux"
