Trying to get wireless card on a Toshiba M2 to work, using ndiswrapper

I recently purchased a Toshiba M2, and I'll be damned if I can get the wireless card up and running. Any help would be much appreciated.
I have ndiswrapper installed. I've loaded it with the two windows drivers that Toshiba tells me should work, these being intel's w22n50 and w22n51. I expect, then, that when I modprobe ndiswrapper, I should get some kind of indication that my card has somehow been detected... you know, like a wlan0 lising when I run ifconfig.

My ndiswrapper output is as follows:
ndiswrapper -l
pcilib: Cannot open /sys/bus/pci/devices
w22n50
w22n51

The lspci entry that I think is relevant here is as follows:
0000:02:05.0 Network Controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 4220 (rev 05)
...as helpful as that is.

As far as I can see, this should be working. It simply isn't. Any suggestions, guesses, or condolences would be wonderful.
