I installed Ubuntu 6.10 and everything is working fine but my printer is not listed in the printer setup.I tried using Turboprint but still no luck.Any ideas/
I hate to say it, but Canon is not a very Linux-friendly brand. If your printer's not listed at openprinting.org, and it's not supported by Turboprint, then your chances of getting it working are pretty slim.
The only thing you might do is try using other printer drivers that seem close. You might get lucky and find one that works.
